Hens & Julius (cousins) made a couple of mixes which were broadcasted by Ferry Maat in his Soulshow on Tros-radio/ Radio 10 as 'Bond van Doorstarters'-Mix.

History
Round 1983 Julius 'teamed up' with cousin Hens Zimmerman and they began to make mixes using the old 'Pause'-button on their decks. Since Julius lived inOldenzaal and Hens in Groningen, they usually used 'smailmail' to send eachother mixes.

A lot of the JTHZ-mixes were broadcasted in Ferry Maat's Soulshow (on TROS as well as on radio 10), as 'Bond van Doorstarter'-Mix. They worked with some old decks (read about it) and from 1985 with the Studer Revox B77.
After a while both Julius & Hens moved to Amsterdam where they produced mix-shows for local radiostations like Counterpoint FM & W.A.P.S.. And some mixes for the VOA (presented by Jeff Wyatt).
They allmost made a remix for Madonna's Cherish (Dutch 12"version), but unfortunately it got blown of. That was 1989.

Julius was born in 1966 in Amsterdam. He moved to Oldenzaal with his parents at 12. He started mixing (also around that time) 'thanks to' his cousin Frans of his who had a drive in disco called 'Sonic'. His 1st mix was some 'fusion' between the Abba Arrival LP version and the -Money Money Money 7" version. Using echo-mixing (2 pick-ups going into the same input port of the tapedeck. A lot of Sjuul-megamixes where broadcasted on radio and in disco's in Oldenzaal & Almelo.
One of Julius' 1st mixes (1983) which was broadcasted was broadcasted in the 'Radio Veronica thuismixwedstrijden', a competition where 'thuismixers' (or Home-mixers) like Julius and e.g. Rutti published their 1st mixes.
Later his mixes were broadcasted as BVD-mixes.

Hens is also from around 1966. He lived in Groningen utill he moved to Amsterdam.
Only one mix Hens made on his own was broadcasted. That was May (or June 1986) on the TROS SoulShow. The rest was together with cousin Julius. Nowadays (1999) Hens makes some 'hobby'-mixes which were never broadcasted and is a computerprogrammer (C/C++, Perl, Toolbook, HTLM/JavaScript). For his musical experiments he now uses Sonic Foundry's "Soundforge".
