• Way back in 1984 my brother let me listen to a tape of a broadcast of "In the mix" And what I heard made me get hooked for life. It was a mix now known as The "GRANDMIX 1983" and was mixed by Ben Liebrand. It made me a fan for life. I started to collect almost every remix I could find. First on tape, then I discovered the 12" and from 1986 the CDs.
• When I got the Grand 12 inches
• 4 Cdset I desided it was time to finally make my tribute to the man who still is an inspiration for so many.
• In 2004 'In the mix' retuned.
• The mix was made almost totally with Cool edit 1.2. Just a few pieces were timestreched to get the necessary tempo. It took me almost half a year.
• 2 tracks omits from the mix even though they were on the 4 CDset, Cerrone - Supernature and Gino Soccio - Dancer. I could not fit them anywhere in this mix and after trying long and hard they were dropped. Cerrone makes a brief appearance in the intro though just to make up for leaving it out.
