Biography
Raymond started mixing around 1982. That was the time Veronica broadcasted the 'Thuismixen'. His first mixes where 'pause'-button mixes (sounds familiair, I think everyone started that way). He taped the Thuismixen and the 'Ín The Mix'es from Ben Liebrand. Some time later raymond bought a 2-track-tape recorder, and the real cutting and glueing started. Then he heard the AVRO's Driemaal doordraai mixes on the radio. He started practising and finally made it to the finale. 8 finalists. In the AVRO studio, jury: Ben Liebrand, Peter Duykersloot, Rutger Kroese, Leo Cotino and Robin Albers. Raymond reached 3rd place. (1985)
1986 : Zoetermeer Holland, 3* DoordraaiFinale 1986, jury: Ben Liebrand, Ferry Maat and some internationals. 3rd Again…. Then the TROS held a Madonna-mix-contest. Raymond was finally number one and it was the start of Raymonds work for the TROS Top50 mixes. Weekly he mixed the number one of their top 50.
Other mixjobs and remixes came his way and after learning the musicbizz the hard way (read: moneyhungry producers) he made some mixes for Dureco and other music-companies. His last official Mix was a Megamix of Toni Di Bart tracks for 'Freaky records'. Married in 1988 and still married uptill now. Now working for his fathers constructioncompany (www.adriaansgroep.nl). He still has a studio in his house.
