| the ORB- Halcyon Live (Reconstructed)( Remix) | In their live shows in 1999 and 2000, the band Orbital played a surprising version of their song "Halcyon" by adding samples from Bon Jovi and Belinda Carlisle. You can find mp3s of this live version on the internet. The live version has crowd noise, and the sound quality isn't very good, so I thought it would be nice to have a better version of this track. So I took the extended version of "Halcyon" from the CD single and added the Bon Jovi and Belinda Carlisle samples myself. (My arrangement is slightly different from Orbital's arrangement).

| Gary Jules vs Michael Jackson - Bad World( Mashup) | This is Gary Jules' acoustic cover of "Mad World" mixed with Michael Jackson's "Bad", with Daft Punk's "Around the World" used as the backing beat. To maintain the "world" theme, I mixed in some other world-related samples. The samples are, in order of appearance: Steven Wright from his "I Have a Pony" album, "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" by Tears for Fears, "World in My Eyes" by Depeche Mode, "Computer World" by Kraftwerk, and "Until the End of the World" by U2.

| Orbital vs Talking Heads - Once In A LifeChime( Mashup) | This is "Chime" by Orbital mixed with "Once in a Lifetime" by the Talking Heads. The backing beat is a breakbeat that was used a lot in dance tracks from around 1990. I sampled it from "La Serenissima" by DNA (the guys who remixed Suzanne Vega's "Tom's Diner").

| New Order vs Princ - 586-1999( Mashup) | This is "5-8-6" by New Order mixed with "1999" by Prince. To maintain the "numbers" theme, I mixed in some other number-related samples. The samples are, in order of appearance: "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" by U2, "Sin" by Nine Inch Nails, "Masterhit" by Front 242, "White Love" by One Dove, "Let Me Be the One" by Safire, "Jewel" by Propaganda (the "1-2-3-4" sample), "1 in 8" by Future Sound of London (the "Oh Wow" sample), "The Magnificent Seven" by The Clash, "88 Lines About 44 Women" by The Nails, "Numbers" by Kraftwerk, "Route 66" by Depeche Mode, "Lessons in Love" by Level 42 (the scratching samples), "3 A.M. Eternal" by KLF, "Penthouse and Pavement" by Heaven 17, and "Nineteen" by Paul Hardcastle. My initial intention for this mash-up was to use New Order's "1963", but the key of "1963" clashed horribly with the key of "1999".
