2000.. The minimix on Radio 538
On 4 februari 2000 Radio 538 starts broadcasting Old and New minimixes in the program Lindo Radio. Time... 2 records past 8... Just like old times! Later in 2000 Lindo's program moved, so the minimix now is broadcasted at 2 records past 10

1999 The MillenniumMix
On 31 december 1999 from 18:00 to 21:00 the MillenniumMix was 1st broadcasted. On 14 January 2000 the 3CD of the mix could be bought on Ben's Site and all recordstores in Holland. Two weeks later it was Nr.2 in the 'Dutch Compilation Album Top 40'.

1999.. Rebroadcasting of the Grandmixes+ClassicsMix
All this support on the Internet made Ben start negotiating with the famous Dutch radio-station Radio 538 (an offspring of Radio Veronica) to have the Grandmixes re-broadcasted. The result of this is the re-broadcasting off all the Grandmixes and the Classics-mix in 1999. Every last saturday of the month a mix was re-broadcasted. The intention was to broadcast a brand-new Grandmix in December 1999! This Grandmix would be the "Grandest"mix of all, because it will be a MillenniuM-Mix, containing the greatest dance tracks of the Millennium. The re-broadcasting of the Grandmix had the further advantage that bootlegs of the Grandmixes will now be less valueable. The Grandmixes are broadcasted with as less as compression as possible, resulting in the possibility to created HiFi recordings at home, with a better quality than any bootleg has ever had!

The Last Grandmix - 1992
In 1992 the last Grandmix was made by Ben Liebrand. He did a grandtotal of 10 mixes, and he was the founder of all the end-year mixes on CD and Radio. Never ever I heard one of these mixes beat the quality and the creativity of the Grandmix. They never came close to it!!
In the years after the last Grandmix was broadcasted, fans were desired to have all the Grandmixes broadcasted ever. A lot of bootlegs appeared on the market. As the popularity of the Internet grew, people searched for new ways to collect the Grand- and Minimixes. Discussion groups were formed, and the Unofficial Ben Liebrand Site and this Unofficial Discography saw the light of life.
(Later in 1999 Ben started making Grabdmixes again...)

1986-1993 The Minimix
When the In The Mix show stopped, it was followed up by the Minimix in 1986. The minimix was broadcasted at a primetime spot, and was a remix of one track, or a couple of tracks. The minimix wasn't a 60 minute-mix, but just a short one. I don't recall having a minimix which exceeds 15 minutes. The minimix ran from 1986 to 1993. In the last years the minimix was also meant to be a trial for new productions Ben made, such as Salt 'n Pepa and tracks for his own album Styles. Sometimes you would hear the same song in four different remixes.
Releases
Sometimes a Minimix was released on 12" or CD. Like Phil Collins' In The Air Tonight. It started out as a Minimix, but became a hit. The Alf-mix was also such an example. Having a few shows of Alf on video, Ben got the idea of adding music to a rap Alf did in one of these shows: The Alf-Rap was born.

1985 The Classics Mix
In november 1985 the last In The Mix was broadcasted. This particular mix is also being considered a Grandmix, under the title The Classicsmix. It featured the best tracks from 1970 to 1982.

1983-1992 The Grandmix
The show ran from early '83 to late '85. One of the results of the In The Mix shows was The Grandmix, a 60 minutes mix at the end of the year containing the hits of that particular year. The first Grandmix was broadcasted at the end of 1983, but didn't work out the way it should be. Arriving at the Veronica Studio, Ben discovered that he had forgotten the second of the two tapes on which the Grandmix '83 was recorded. Ben happened to have a tape of the just finished High Fashion Dance Mix with him, and that tape was started in as the second part of the Grandmix '83. In january 1984 the Grandmix '83 was broadcasted the way it was supposed to be.
